Withdrawal Policy
This is a courtesy translation. The German version of this document is the legally binding one.
For consumers (distance contracts pursuant to § 312g of the German Civil Code, BGB)
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us
of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not mandatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your notification of exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.
Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments we have received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we received notification of your withdrawal from this contract. For this refund we will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this refund.
Early expiry of the right of withdrawal (digital content / services)
The right of withdrawal expires for a contract for the supply of digital content not delivered on a physical medium, and for services, if
- you have expressly consented to us beginning performance before the withdrawal period expires, and
- you have confirmed your awareness that by giving your consent you lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins, and
- we have begun performance.
Practical note: for this expiry to take effect, consent must be actively requested at the time of purchase (e.g. a checkbox: "I agree that performance begins immediately and I am aware that I thereby lose my right of withdrawal.").
