Internal stabilization
Core functions, installation, local data storage, plan limits and key workflows are tested internally before external testers are invited.
The beta phase is the controlled step before the wide release of 3D Extruder. The goal is not an unfinished experiment, but a professional real-world test with real workflows, clear expectations and honest feedback.
The process is deliberately staged. Each phase has a clear goal. Order, duration and scope may change depending on technical stability, feedback and support load.
Core functions, installation, local data storage, plan limits and key workflows are tested internally before external testers are invited.
A small test group checks real routines: printer connection, jobs, inventory, pricing, invoices and typical daily work.
Access is widened. The goal is broader feedback on usability, performance, system environments and recurring workflows.
Before the public release the focus is on stability, documentation, the installation flow and critical bug fixes.
The beta is aimed at users who want to test 3D Extruder seriously and are willing to give concrete feedback. Access is not a guarantee of immediate activation.
Beta versions may contain bugs; features may change or be temporarily limited. During this phase, 3D Extruder should not be used as the sole basis for critical business data without your own backup strategy.
This build is expressly unfinished. Please read this before you download it — inside the app you have to confirm the same notice at startup.
Crashes, outages and unpredictable behaviour are possible — including in features that worked before. Calculations, invoices and stock levels may contain errors. Spot-check results before you use or send them.
Data may be saved incorrectly, altered or deleted. So create your own backups regularly (Settings → Data & Backup) and keep them outside the program. Without a backup of your own, a loss cannot be undone.
Features may be changed, restricted or removed at any time. There is no entitlement to a beta feature being part of the final release. The test phase itself may also end at any time.
For the beta, no assurance is given as to freedom from errors, availability, particular features or fitness for a particular purpose; no response times are promised. Your tax and commercial-law obligations (in particular the German GoBD rules) remain with you.
Liability is unlimited for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health; liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected. Otherwise liability is limited to the extent permitted by law — details in § 7a of the Terms and Conditions. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
During the test phase, operate connected 3D printers only under supervision and in line with the device manufacturer's instructions. Control commands from a pre-release build may be faulty.
Transparency isn't a beta topic at 3D Extruder — it's a standing commitment. That's why we explain installation, platform limits and security notes clearly and understandably.
3D Extruder is currently distributed directly through the website. macOS checks apps downloaded from the internet particularly strictly. Until the final Developer ID signing and Apple notarization are active, a security warning may appear on first launch.
Download 3D Extruder only via the personal link from your invitation email. The download area is not publicly accessible during the beta: each link belongs to exactly one email address, is valid for exactly one retrieval and expires afterwards – please do not pass it on. If macOS blocks the app from starting, you can right-click the app icon and choose “Open”.
Laser, cutter and special toolchanger features are currently not part of the beta. Possible later support depends on technical feasibility, interfaces and safety requirements.
Yes. The beta phase is free and generally planned with the full intended feature set. Since 3D Extruder runs locally on your system, changes, adjustments or possible limitations are never made silently in the background — they ship via app updates. If individual features, platforms or workflows have to be limited in the beta for technical, organizational or security reasons, we'll say so transparently on the website or directly in the beta notice.
You can already download Free at no cost; the installation is activated online once, and a free account is all it takes. If you would like to test Basic, Pro or Business in the beta rollout, register on the home page or send a short message describing your setup. The more concretely you describe your printers, operating system and intended use, the better we can match you to a suitable test slot.
